Honda reps will be in Orange County today and Friday offering free gas to motorists as part of the Southern California dealers’ “Honda Helpful” campaign.
The teams will be visiting gas stations in Anaheim, Buena Park, Westminster, Costa Mesa and Huntington Beach until the afternoon over both days, offering to fill drivers’ tanks. The teams don’t announce when or exactly where they will show up, instead surprising motorists with free fill-ups.
The surprise fill-ups are just the latest effort in the “Honda Helpful” campaign. In the past, teams of men and women dressed in blue have handed out roses on Valentine’s Day and have performed other kind acts throughout Southern California.
This latest effort comes at a good time, as many drivers are struggling with gasoline prices as we reach — or pass — $4 a gallon in Orange County.
